Nantong's political advisors commence annual meeting

The second session of the 13th Nantong Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) commenced on Jan 5 at the Nantong Grand Theater, local media outlets reported.
The three-day session, which ran from Jan 5 to 7, was attended by members of the 13th CPPCC Nantong Municipal Committee, who reviewed and summarized the work of the 13th CPPCC Nantong Municipal Committee in 2022 and discussed work to be carried out by the CPPCC Wuxi Municipal Committee concerning tasks assigned by the Nantong Municipal Party Committee.
In addition, they also attended the second session of the 16th Nantong Municipal People's Congress as non-voting delegates and consulted and discussed the government work report, among other reports, and the city's economic and social development plan.
Huang Weidong, chairman of the 13th CPPCC Nantong Municipal Committee, reviewed the committee's work over the past year.
Under the leadership of the Nantong municipal Party committee, the CPPCC Nantong committee focused on unity and democracy and made significant contributions to local economic development and maintaining social stability over the past year.
Huang added that under the guidance of the central, provincial, and municipal governments, the CPPCC Nantong committee will continue to play an important role in political consulting and help transform Nantong into a strong and prosperous city featuring high-quality development.
