Hai'an makes top 100 industrial counties

Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, ranked 17th on the list of the top 100 industrial counties in China, the highest it has ever been.
The county has been focusing on industrial development this year. In the Jan-Oct period, the turnover of industry in Hai'an reached 184.27 billion yuan ($25.72 billion), the highest in Nantong.
By the end of October, the county was home to 1,306 industrial enterprises above designated size. Among them, six enterprises have been named national "little giant" enterprises.
Two enterprises in the county were named "single-item champion manufacturers" this year.
"Single-item champion manufacturers" refer to those committed to a single segment of the manufacturing sector, while also boasting globally advanced technologies and among the largest market shares in their segment.
In addition, the Hai'an High-tech Zone made the list of national demonstration bases for innovation and entrepreneurship of small and micro enterprises.
This year, the county was designated the provincial demonstration county for the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.
