Two polar expedition cruise vessels – the Sylvia Earle and Ocean Odyssey – constructed by the Haimen base of China Merchants Heavy Industry Co Ltd, were delivered in Haimen district, Nantong, on Oct 21.

The Ocean Odyssey set sail on Oct 26, heading for Jordan.

The cruise vessel can accommodate 140 people and will sail in Asia and Europe.

It was the 5th polar adventure cruise in the series ordered by American company SunStone Ships.

The Sylvia Earle, the 4th vessel in the same series, will also set sail on Oct 28, heading toward Antarctica.

In addition, the 6th cruise vessel has been launched and is currently being outfitted at the wharf. It is expected to be delivered in March of next year.
