Rudong, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has posted stable economic growth this year.

In the first half of the year, Rudong reported a GDP of 65.01 billion yuan ($9.16 billion), and a total public budget revenue of 4.2 billion yuan. It is the only county-level city in Nantong that posted positive financial revenue growth in the first half of the year.

To ensure enterprises maintain stable production during the COVID-19 epidemic, more than 4,000 Rudong officials worked hard to ensure the transportation of the enterprises' essential raw materials and their urgently needed goods.

Rudong has also created dedicated channels for more than 100 micro and small enterprises. Transfer stations and lockdown zones have also been established in Rudong to promote freight transportation.

Furthermore, Rudong has been actively building its infrastructure. By the end of July, construction of 26 key projects in the Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone had begun, costing a total of more than 10 billion yuan.

To date, Rudong has witnessed the construction of nine provincial key projects and the inking of 86 projects this year. Two enterprises in Rudong made the list of national-level "Little Giant" enterprises and two enterprises were selected as national-level demonstration factories of intelligent manufacturing.

Rudong has also provided local enterprises with financial support by establishing policies such as unsecured loans to relieve enterprises' financial pressure. To date, 1,071 enterprises in Rudong have benefited from this financial policy.
