Jiangsu Rutian Photoelectric Technology Co Ltd in Rugao, Nantong, Jiangsu province announced that it will start producing new vehicle-mounted display materials at the launch ceremony held on June 29, making it the first Chinese company to do so.

The project started construction on Nov 28 in 2020, receiving a total of 1 billion yuan ($149.11 million) in investment. After the project begins operating at full capacity, it will provide more than 1,000 jobs for people in the city.

In recent years, the city has been working to promote the development of six advantageous industrial clusters, including new materials, electronic information, and new electronic equipment, and has gradually formed a relatively complete industrial system.

The six advantageous industrial chains currently account for more than 86 percent of the taxable sales of industrial enterprises above designated size in the city, and the output value of high-tech industries accounts for more than 50 percent of the total output value of industrial enterprises above designated size.

The production of new vehicle-mounted display materials will help strengthen the city's electronic information industry and accelerate industrial agglomeration.
