Jiangsu Tiancheng Group – located in the county-level city of Hai'an in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province – reported a 27.84 percent year-on-year increase in sales revenue, which hit 618 million yuan ($92.13 million) from January to April this year.

Founded in 1989, Tiancheng Group has been focusing on agriculture and animal husbandry for more than 30 years. It is now a national leading enterprise for agricultural industrialization, with a complete industry supply chain covering feed production, commercial chicken breeding, brand egg marketing and processing.

To overcome difficulties brought about by various factors, especially the COVID-19 pandemic, Tiancheng Group adjusted its development strategies to adapt to the new situation while benefiting from the government's policies.

It invested a total of 150 million yuan in technical reforms and equipment upgrades since last year, of which 48 million yuan was allocated to bring in advanced equipment from abroad to breed 500,000 more laying hens.

That clearly paid off and the group posted annual output value of 3.2 billion yuan last year.

The Nantong laying hen industry alliance is composed of 35 family farms with more than 200,000 chickens in Nantong, with Tiancheng Group acting as the leader.

Under the severe COVID-19 situation, Tiancheng Group remained resolute in undertaking its social responsibilities and led the members of the alliance to resolve their economic challenges.

During the critical anti-epidemic period, Tiancheng Group delivered more than 2,000 metric tons of raw materials to 15 members that were in urgent need of them. It also helped the members solve marketing problems and helped them to keep their eggs fresh during the period, among other things.
