The construction of the Longyou Bay ecological landscape belt in Rugao, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, nears completion, local media reported on June 18.

Rugao started rennovating the Longyou Bay ecological landscape belt along the Yangtze River at the beginning of 2021 to build a riverside recreation area.

The landscape belt is about 5.5 kilometers long and spans 800 mu (53.33 hectares).

It will cost a total of 300 million yuan ($44.81 million) and involve afforestation and rest areas.
