Located in Dingyan town, Rugao, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, Jiangsu Nisco Smart Furniture Co Ltd is the second largest exporter of smart beds in China.

The company has in recent years invested nearly 200 million yuan ($30.37 million) in the research and development of smart beds as part of its digital transformation.

The company's newly launched smart bed is equipped with technologies that can detect a person's sitting or sleeping position before adjusting the frame to provide optimal spinal support. The bed can also monitor sleep quality.

In addition, the smart bed features seven modes, including a reading mode and snoring intervention mode.

The smart beds have been selling well in foreign countries and regions, including the United States, the European Union, and Japan, since it was launched, according to the company.

Orders of smart beds so far this year has grown 28.12 percent, said Wang Wei, vice general manager of Nisco.

To help furniture enterprises expand into international markets, the inspection rate of products from leading enterprises has been lowered to below 2 percent, while clearance time has been reduced by more than 15 percent, said Zhang Xiaochun, deputy director of Rugao Customs.
