An online ceremony to mark the signing of a raft of projects was held on April 22 in Hai'an – a county-level city administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province.
The 13 projects that signed up to settle in the city involve a total investment of nearly 10 billion yuan ($1.5 billion) and will be in the electronics information, new materials and scientific and technological services sectors, among others.
Of these, four are worth at least 1 billion yuan each and four are being funded by foreign capital.
Yu Lizhong, Party secretary of Hai'an who participated in the event, emphasized that the major projects would become strong drivers to promote Hai'an's high-quality development.
The Hai'an municipal government is expected to give full play to its role as a steward, to create a first-class business environment with more precise policies and more convenient and considerate services for the businesses and projects settling in Hai'an.
