The digital economy is an inevitable global direction for the future. Jiangsu EMT New Material Co Ltd, located in Nantong's county-level city of Hai'an in East China's Jiangsu province, is taking advantage of its advanced equipment and production lines along with the data processing and analysis system as it advances in the way of digital transformation.
The third phase of Jiangsu EMT New Material completed construction and came into production by the end of last year.
Investing 450 million yuan ($71.2 million) on its production lines, the company imported the main equipment from Germany and introduced advanced technologies from the United States, Japan, South Korea, and other countries. With 13 independently-owned innovative technologies, Jiangsu EMT New Material produces global cutting-edge optical-grade polyester base films.
"We have built a small industrial intranet in our workshops. The numerical control rate of key procedures reaches 90 percent, and some 80 percent of the process is unmanned," said Li Gang, general manager of Jiangsu EMT New Material.
"We have realized a digital management of the whole process from receiving orders to delivering products, with the per capita benefits improving year by year and operation costs decreasing greatly," Li added.
Jiangsu EMT New Material will devote more efforts on its digital transformation, striving to become an industrial internet benchmark enterprise in Jiangsu and even China.
