The Nantong delegation to the 13th Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress discussed the provincial government work report made by the governor during the fifth session of the conference held in Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu, on Jan 20.

"I am greatly inspired by the provincial government work report, as it says much about the blueprint for rural revitalization and emphasizes rural and agricultural development," said Qin Juxiang, Party secretary of Gaodian Residential Community in Chongchuan district.

Qin said that she will further study the spirit of the "two sessions" to seek ways of improving local residents' quality of life.

Cao Jinhai, secretary of the leading Party members' group of the Nantong finance bureau, said that they would implement the spirit of Jiangsu's "two sessions" by prioritizing their support of technological innovation to boost the city's high-quality development.

Yuan Yunyun from the Nantong entry-exit border inspection station noted that the work report mentioned regular epidemic prevention and control with scientific methods and strict supervision at airports, ports, and of cold-chain logistics.

Yuan added that they would continue their strict exit and entry control measures to prevent COVID-19 outbreaks from overseas imports.

The government work report also spoke of developing a province with a prosperous cultural industry, which struck a chord with Wu Yuanxin, curator of the Nantong Blue Calico Museum.

Wu said that the museum would cultivate more inheritors of blue calico-making and create more beautiful works to better promote the intangible cultural heritage item.
