Jiangsu Jiangzhong Group in Rugao, a county-level city administered by Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province won the China Construction Engineering Luban Prize (National Prime-quality Project) on Dec 14.

The Luban Prize is the highest award for the national prime-quality project. About 900,000 construction projects are completed in China every year, but only two or three hundred are awarded Luban Prizes each year.

The awarded architectures were selected by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development and the China Construction Industry Association.

Jiangsu Jiangzhong Group received the award for the inpatient building of Pizhou People's Hospital in Pizhou, a county-level city of Xuzhou, Jiangsu province.

Jiangzhong Group is engaged in building operations and real estate development. In the past, 12 projects constructed by the enterprise, such as the Suzhou Culture and Arts Center in Jiangsu, had won the Luban Prize.

Another six Nantong enterprises also won the prize for 10 projects this time. Over the past years, construction enterprises in Nantong have completed a number of high-quality projects, such as the Lhasa Restaurant in Tibet autonomous region, Nanjing Olympic Sports Center in Jiangsu, and lnner Mongolia Museum in lnner Mongolia autonomous region.
