The opening ceremony of the 2021 China Qidong Farmers' Harvest Festival was held in Wuxing village in Hezuo town, Qidong, a county-level city administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province on Sept 23.

With the slogan "celebrating harvest, thanking CPC", the festival brought people from all walks of life together, celebrated the Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival which falls on Autumn Equinox every year through performances, commending people who made contributions to rural revitalization, and an agricultural development achievement exhibition.

Gong Xinming, deputy Party secretary of Qidong, attended the ceremony and made a keynote speech in which he stated that in recent years, Qidong has been adhering to the rural revitalization development strategy while also focusing on new urbanization.

Gong expressed hope that rural and agricultural workers and farmers would devote themselves to rural revitalization and create a new development pattern for the city.
