International printmaking art center debuts in Qidong city
Built in the traditional Chinese courtyard style, the China Qidong International Printmaking Art Center is a new addition to the vibrant cultural scene of the city, having opened on July 16. [Video/WeChat account: qdrmt0513]
The China Qidong International Printmaking Art Center, located at No 600 Huangpujiang Road – in the county-level city of Qidong, administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province – debuted on July 16.
An invitation exhibition of works by printmaking masters in China opened there on the same day.
Built in the traditional Chinese courtyard style, the center houses the Qidong Printmaking Institute, the Qidong Art Gallery, the Qidong Printmaking Museum, a Master's Studio and a Watercolor Printmaking Laboratory.
Covering an area of over 10,000 square meters, the art center was completed in the first half year of 2021.
Co-sponsored by the Printmaking Art Committee of the China Artists Association and the Qidong municipal government, the invitation exhibition is being held in the No 1 and 2 halls of the Qidong Art Gallery. Over 100 outstanding works created by renowned Chinese printmaking masters are being displayed.
The ongoing exhibition, which will run to Aug 30, is closed on Mondays.
