The first sports-themed park in Haimen district, Nantong will be completed in December, local media outlets reported.

Located south of Huangpujiang Road and north of Taicang Road, the park is close to the district's sports center. It covers an area of more than 15 hectares, including 97,000 square meters of green area.

The park received an investment of 70 million yuan ($10.83 million) and will be equipped with a variety of smart health management facilities to bring local residents amenities powered by ecofriendly science and technology.

To meet the demands of people at all ages, the park will have distinct venues for basketball, football, table tennis, gate ball, and jogging, as well as a playground for children.

At present, the river course in the west of the park has been cleaned, while the earthwork, modeling, and the sewage system have already been completed.

Construction on infrastructure, such as roads, sporting fields, and parking lots, will start soon. In addition, the planting of trees will be finished in November.
