The largest floating production, storage, and offloading vessel in the world, produced by China Merchants Heavy Industry (Jiangsu) Co in Haimen district, Nantong, was recently completed and will be delivered soon, local media outlets reported.

The vessel is capable of processing 250,000 barrels of raw oil daily and storing 2 million barrels of oil. It has a full-load displacement of more than 460,000 metric tons. It holds the record for the world's largest tonnage and oil storage capacity.

It also boasts several domestically developed core technologies for high-end FPSO construction, some of which are the first of their kinds in China.

Compared to traditional FPSOs, the vessel boasts more functions and is more adaptable. It is capable of operating in oil and gas fields in any ocean around the globe, with lower operational costs.
