The Sixth People's Hospital of Nantong – located in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – is a 3A-grade hospital integrating the functions of medical services, teaching and scientific research. It is a national demonstration hospital for superior services, humanistic care and energy conservation.

Adhering to the precepts of opening up, the hospital took the initiative to introduce high-quality medical teaching and research resources from Shanghai. In June 2020, it became an affiliated hospital of Shanghai University.

The hospital has developed as one of the first internet hospitals in Jiangsu province and conducted family health management campaigns through that. It has applied modern information technologies – such as big data, the internet of things, 5G and artificial intelligence – into people's chronic disease and health management. This led to it becoming a developer the Internet + Medical Care big data clinical application demonstration center in Jiangsu province.
