Hai'an further strengthens cooperation with Shanghai

A conference on Hai'an, a county-level city administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province, strengthening cooperation with Shanghai was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on June 18.

During the conference, 12 projects co-conducted by the two parties were launched and agreements on 18 major projects were signed.

Yu Lizhong, Party secretary of Hai'an, delivered a keynote speech and said that this is a pivotal moment in Hai'an's development and transformation. He said that Hai'an will strive to integrate into Shanghai's industrial system and accelerate cooperation and interconnection in transportation, culture, public services, and more.

Shan Xiaoming, executive deputy mayor of Nantong, said that Hai'an has become a dynamic growth engine behind Nantong's economic and social development and benefits from a spillover effect from Shanghai industries. Entrepreneurs from all walks of life have been encouraged to visit and invest in Hai'an.

During the conference, Yangpu district in Shanghai signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hai'an to jointly build the Shanghai Yangpu (Hai'an) Industrial Park.
