An entrepreneurship and innovation event was held in Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, from June 5 to 6, bringing together over 300 experts and professors and representatives of 350 companies.
Participants were provided with information on the latest supporting policies and given the opportunity to showcase technological achievements in their fields.
The event was first launched in 2014 and has been successfully held eight times. A total of nearly 2,000 industry-university-research cooperation projects have been reached as a result of the event to date. Four of them won national awards for scientific and technological progress and 17 were granted provincial-level science and technology awards.
This year's edition includes four special conferences focusing on the latest technical breakthroughs made in fields such as robotics and intelligent manufacturing, equipment manufacturing, and electronic information.
Hai'an mayor Tan Zhen briefed attendees on the city's favorable policies related to financial support for startups, incentives for talent introduction, rewards for commercialization of technological achievements, and more.
In addition, the Hai'an Innovative Science and Technology Committee was unveiled during the event.
Hai'an is currently home to eight national industrial and demonstration bases and 374 national high-tech enterprises. The event has played an active role in promoting related development.
