The second city match of the sixth Qichuang Cup Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Shenzhen in South China's Guangdong province on May 9.
The competition was aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship and attracting domestic and overseas innovation resources to Qidong – a county-level city in Nantong in east China's Jiangsu province.
The entries in the Shenzhen match were adapted to Qidong's industry development system. Each team demonstrated the innovation level, technical feasibility and industrialization prospects of their projects, many of which were praised by the judges.
Two projects, one focusing on ultraviolet light source and the other on new energy powered transportation, won the top prizes.
"We hope to develop our projects in Qidong due to its obvious regional advantages, which are able to bring Shanghai's advanced technologies and professionals to us," said Jin Huamu, one of the top prize winners.
