The Chengdu match of the sixth Qichuang Cup Entrepreneurship Competition was held in the Wangjiang Hotel in Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan province, on May 8.
The Qichuang Cup Entrepreneurship Competition, a major event held by Qidong – a county-level city administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province – is intended to help implement an innovation-driven development strategy, attract talent to the city, and promote the rapid growth of new technologies and industries in the city. It has now been held a total of five times.
The competition adopts an "N+1" mode in which "N" refers to multiple city matches and "1" refers to the final. The city match includes first, second and third-place prizes as well as cash prizes of 20,000 yuan ($3,111), 10,000 yuan, 5,000 yuan and 2,000 yuan.
After preliminary selection, a total of 26 projects in the Chengdu match qualified for the on-site defense session, covering multiple sectors such as electronic information, biomedicine and new materials.
After fierce competition, two projects won the first-place prize, three projects won the second-place prize, six projects won the third-place prize, and another six projects obtained the cash prizes.
