The administrative service center in Haimen district, Nantong recently made the top 10 county-level administrative service centers in Jiangsu province, the only entry from Nantong.

In recent years, the Haimen government has worked to streamline administration, delegate power, improve regulation, as well as upgrade services.

The 42,000-square-meter service center houses 288 liaison windows of 61 departments and handles an average of more than 10,000 affairs in 1,428 items per day.

A national-level service evaluation system has been established to cover the operation, procedure, window service, management, and facilities of the center. The district's town and village-level administrative service centers were also included in the system.

Efforts have also been made to improve work efficiency, with the number of required materials, processing times, and procedures cut by 50 percent. Cross-region administrative services have also been available in Haimen to better integrate Nantong into the Yangtze River Delta region.

Haimen also led Jiangsu province in developing and operating a smart administrative affairs platform. Four centers, online service centers accessible by computer and mobile phones, a self-service center, as well as the offline service center, worked together to bring more convenience to people.
