Chongchuan launches rapid response mechanism to help firms
In a bid to solve their problems and satisfy the needs of its resident businesses, the Chenqiao sub-district of Chongchuan district – in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – recently initiated a new rapid response mechanism and rolled out a suite of 100 preferential policies.
Focusing on the environment, culture, ecology, security and prosperity, Chenqiao has introduced a series of helpful measures in recent years. During the COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control period last year, it took only 10 days to mobilize 80 percent of its manufacturers above a designated size – those with annual revenue of 20 million yuan ($3.08 million) or more – to resume production.
This year, Chenqiao is targeting being number one in terms of development growth in Chongchuan district and it aims to improve its services to aid enterprises, by resolving their problems and facilitating their development.
It has established a chief service officer system and a so-called "1+1+1" working mechanism – which consists of a Party or administrative leader of the sub-district, a specialized department and a secretary of a village or community – within the jurisdiction, to provide businesses with optimal policies and efficient public services.
In addition, plans are for Chenqiao sub-district to optimize its business environment with an investment injection of more than 2 million yuan ($309,000), to break bottlenecks restricting development and building the economy. It will also employ third-party experts to help companies establish sound production management and monitoring systems, as well as promote the standardization of business production management.
"Chenqiao sub-district provides considerate services for us," said Shen Nan, president of Nantong Honghua Construction and Installation Co Ltd – a respected company recognized by Chongchuan district for its high-quality development in 2020.
Having seen progress in a series of major transportation infrastructure projects -- including the Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong Yangtze River Bridge and the Yancheng-Nantong high-speed railway -- the location advantages of Chenqiao are becoming increasingly evident.
"We will take more forceful measures to improve our working efficiency, upgrade our service quality and optimize the business environment, to build a new modern area that gets integrated with Shanghai," said Gu Hongju, secretary of the Party working committee of Chenqiao sub-district.
