An online recruitment campaign recently launched by the district human resources and social security bureau in the Chongchuan district of Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – reportedly used livestreaming successfully.

Ten high-quality enterprises from the Chongchuan Economic Development Zone, or CCEDZ, participated in the Feb 19 event, providing 2,100 posts for job seekers. The livestreaming session attracted 132,000 views and 8,100 resumes were sent in.

During the livestreaming session, officials from the Chongchuan district human resources and social security bureau explained the overall online recruitment plan for the current year.

Representatives in charge of recruitment, from such enterprises as Tongfu Microelectronics and Enhron Central Air-conditioning, gave presentations detailing information on the companies, their recruitment requirements and employment conditions.

The company representatives reportedly interacted with online viewers in real time, answering any questions or concerns from the job seekers.

"As this year is a growth period for the industry, we plan to recruit 1,500 to 2,000 employees," said Wu Fang, recruitment manager of Tongfu Microelectronics. "The posts are in production and technology research and development," Wu added.

According to the local human resources and social security authority, the serial online recruitment activities will run to the end of March. More than 200 enterprises – engaged in such sectors as high-end textiles, electronic information, intelligent equipment, scientific and tech services, as well as culture and tourism – will offer over 10,000 posts.

"A dedicated recruitment livestreaming will be held for Qinzao sub-district on Feb 26 and online job fairs will be hosted every Wednesday and Friday," said Wang Xiaofei, head of the Chongchuan district human resources and social security bureau.
