Nantong University partners up with Suzhou high-tech group
Nantong University – located in the prefecture-level city of the same name in East China's Jiangsu province – entered into a strategic partnership with Suzhou Hengmei Electron Technology Inc on Jan 21, to work together on research projects, as well as train skilled personnel.
Founded in 2009, the company supplies high-tech components and systems to new energy vehicle manufacturers. Its R&D team not only boasts first-class professionals, but also well-known technical experts. Having established previous relationships with Southeast University and other leading universities, the company has established postgraduate workstations to develop advanced automobile technologies.
Nantong University is also open-minded to embrace industry-university-research cooperation and is committed to tailoring its courses based on market demand.
The university also received a donation of 500,000 yuan ($77,350) from the company that will be used to support student-led projects and activities advocating entrepreneurship and innovation.
Pu Yuzhong, Party chief of Nantong University, said it would make greater efforts and take more practical measures to provide better services and promote scientific research results that are more applicable to production.
