Chongchuan-based company innovates upgrading to traditional production

Located in Chongchuan district, Nantong Mingxing Technology Development Co Ltd, or Mingxing Tech, was founded in 2003. Keeping a long-term strategic cooperation relationship with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, it is the first domestic enterprise to replace barcode technology with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) data collection technology and apply it to clothing and home textile intelligent hanging systems.

To solve the difficulty of real-time data acquisition in the clothing and home textile production process, Mingxing Tech cooperated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences. After over a decade of scientific research and thousands of experiments, the company took the lead in integrating RFID, industrial automation, the internet of things, big data, cloud computing and other technologies, and modernized its production mode.

A main drafting unit of international standards for the Chinese electronics industry, Mingxing owns more than 60 patents for invention and new utility patents.

Mingxing Tech is applying RFID data collection technology to the management of clothing and home textile hanging production lines, changing the previous situation wherein hanging production lines could not produce small batches, multiple varieties, and various garment complexities at the same time.

Yu Ming, chairman of Mingxing Tech, explained that RFID technology is a wireless communication technology that transmits data from the label attached to the object through the electromagnetic field surrounding it so as to automatically identify and track the object's real-time dynamics.

"The intelligent material distribution and monitoring system invented by us can transport all the materials mechanically and save processing time from non-sewing operations, improving the production efficiency of home textile and garment enterprises by at least 30 percent," Yu added.
