The Nantong Autumn Amateur Football League kicked off on the evening of Aug 30 at the football zone of Nantong Yangtze River Sports Park, which is hailed as the "Most Beautiful Football Field by the Yangtze River". 

The opening match saw Chongchuan district team competing against the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) team, with the stadium atmosphere electrifying and the spectator stands almost fully occupied. After intense competition witnessed by 2,788 live spectators, Chongchuan ultimately secured a 3-1 victory. 

The 2025 Nantong Autumn Amateur Football League will be held from August to November. The league is divided into two stages — group matches and knockout rounds — with eight rounds of competition. All games are scheduled on weekends. 

Against the backdrop of the thriving Jiangsu Football City League, the event aims to provide a platform for Nantong football enthusiasts to connect, exchange skills, and further promote the development of football in the city. 

A total of 10 teams, comprising 360 players from various areas including Hai'an city, Rugao city, Chongchuan district, Tongzhou district, Haimen district, and NETDA, are participating. 

The athletes come from all walks of life, showcasing the strong football culture and vibrant sporting atmosphere of Nantong.
