According to the Nantong municipal bureau of gardens and forests, the 2020 Nantong Boutique Chrysanthemum Exhibition is to open in Tangzha Park in Chongchuan district on Oct 29, local media reported on Oct 26.

As the first chrysanthemum exhibition held by new Chongchuan district, which consists of the former Chongchuan and Gangzha districts, the event has "bravery, perseverance, enterprise" as its theme, and will highlight those three factors. By displaying flowers, plants and gardens the expo is committed to integrating sightseeing, recreation, cultural presentation and dissemination of related knowledge.

Covering 12,000 square meters, more than 120,000 pots of chrysanthemums and 280,000 pots of other flowers have been laid out in Tangzha Park, creating a magnificent floral sea.

The sub-districts and industrial parks of the new Chongchuan district laid out 17 outdoor display points to show their historic culture and regional features.

This year the exhibition has four "first times": moving boutique chrysanthemums from indoors to outdoors, decorating water surfaces with large chrysanthemum patterns, combining flowers with urban life interaction and applying 3D technology in displaying flowers.

Those who are unable to make a trip to the park can enjoy the exquisite scenery online through the official WeChat account of the Nantong Boutique Chrysanthemum Exhibition (ID: ntjhz0513). The account also provides services such as travel routes to the exhibition and information about chrysanthemum culture and cultivation.

It should be noted that according to the regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control, visitors have to wear face masks when visiting the park.
