The 21st China Rudong International Kite Summit and the 2020 National Kite Invitational Tournament are to take place in Xiaoyangkou kite flying base in Rudong county, Nantong, on Oct 17.

Nantong is one of the four major kite producing areas in China and Rudong is regarded as China's hometown of kites. Its unique natural conditions, vast tidal flats and suitable wind resources provide good conditions for kite flying.

In addition to the normal sections such as artistic performances and featured kite shows, this year's kite summit also set up a kite flying area for the public, integrating many cultural and tourism factors such as specialty goods, delicacies and hot springs.
