The 2020 China Qidong Tourism (Wujiang) Promotion Conference was held in Wujiang district, Suzhou, Jiangsu province on Oct 15.

In recent years, Qidong has focused on enlarging the influence of the city brand "To meet sunrise, taste seafood and breathe deeply in Qidong", and gradually formed a regional tourism development pattern that mainly focuses on river-sea customs tours and characteristic rural tours, supplemented by health maintenance and relaxing vacations.

Shao Maohua, the city's deputy Party secretary and director of its publicity department, pointed out that Wujiang and Qidong, both located in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) city cluster, are paired cities in the Suzhou-Nantong cross-river integrated development project.

Targeted at deepening cooperation with Wujiang and jointly expanding the tourism market, Qidong held the tourism promotion conference and launched a string of superior travel routes and projects, to enable more people to learn about the city.
