According to a notice issued by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism Sept 16, 30 units represented by Changjiang Road in Nanjing have been identified as night cultural and tourism consumption cluster areas.

Nantong has two areas included in the group – Tangzha ancient town in Chongchuan district and Dongdajie Historical Blocks in Rugao city.

Tangzha is a charming ancient town hidden in the urban area of Nantong. Unlike other towns full of peace and tranquility, Tangzha is closer to people's urban lives.

With Tongyang canal passing through the town, Tangzha, formerly known as Tangjiazha, was once a famous area with prosperous industries. The renowned Dasheng Yarn Factory, Guangsheng Oil Factory and Fuxin Flour Mill all started in Tangzha.

Later, the industrial zone gradually returned to peace as shipping ceased being the main transport channel.

Nowadays, Tangzha ancient town is a national industrial-style town and a visiting card for Nantong.
