The first 5G base station owned by China Mobile Hai'an branch was activated in October 2019. Combined with virtual reality (VR) technology, it has brought a brand new experience to local citizens.
Deployed in core business areas, 5G provides superior online communications for users in Hai'an. Hai'an Wanda Plaza was officially opened on June 25. To ensure the 5G network would not be blocked during the opening ceremony, China Mobile Nantong branch established an emergency communication support team and added three 5G base stations around the plaza.
5G also contributes to getting people back to work and children back to school in Hai'an. Jiangsu Xinxin Textile Co Ltd is a large enterprise engaged in textile fabrics and home textiles production. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company faced difficulties in recruitment. Through 5G video communication, it recruited workers online and solved labor shortage problems.
To ensure the safety and health of teachers and students, Hai'an senior school of Jiangsu Province made a request for assistance from China Mobile Hai'an branch. With its high efficiency and low latency, 5G thermal imaging temperature monitoring equipment is the best solution for solving difficulties in checking body temperature of large numbers of students.
China Mobile Hai'an branch plans to build 230 5G base stations in 2020, to achieve continuous 5G coverage in the urban area and surrounding towns and villages. Nantong branch will also accelerate the integration of 5G and industrial internet, the internet of vehicles, intelligent healthcare, and education and tourism, injecting new vitality into the city's high-quality development.
