Tongzhou district in Nantong held a press conference on Aug 31 and announced that the 2020 Zhang Jian Cup China International Home Textile Design Competition Awards Ceremony and the 13th China Chuanjiang Home Textile Drawings Fair will kick off in Nantong Home Textile City on Sept 2.

The Zhang Jian Cup China International Home Textile Design Competition has become a representative event of home textile design in Nantong and China. Themed "Fashion Life", this year's competition will introduce China's textile fashion trends for the first time. Guiding home textile design to pay more attention to young consumers, it aims to make fast fashion and consumption the next breakout of the home textile industry.

The appraisal part of the competition ended on Aug 14. Among the more than 500 entries from domestic and overseas enterprises, colleges and universities, as well as independent designers, nine works will earn gold, silver and bronze awards, six will be granted brand awards and three will receive future designer star awards.

The means of livestreaming and a cloud-based format was adopted for the first time. Professional anchors in the fashion field introduced the entries in the exhibition hall in detail.

This year, more people had access to the competition as well as Nantong's history, culture and home textile industry through the inclusive cloud mode.
