The 2020 China Qidong International Economic & Trade Conference was held at the county-level city's Howard Johnson Glory Plaza on Aug 21. More than 100 senior executives from leading enterprises in the domestic biomedicine, semiconductors and high-end equipment industries gathered at the event for in-depth discussions on cooperation.

The conference has become an important window to display Qidong's advantages in resources, regions and industries, and attracts a lot of attention from overseas investors.

At the conference, 22 projects with investment valued at 46 billion yuan ($6.6 billion) were inked, covering life health, biomedicine, intelligent manufacturing, electronic information, ocean engineering equipment and new materials.
