The Haimen publicity department, cultural and tourism bureau, and Haimen City Development Group Co will launch a series of activities in August to boost the district's nighttime economy and enrich the lives of locals, local media reported.

The launch ceremony will be held at Jianghai Cultural Park at 19:30 on Aug 10 and feature various cultural performances. In the following days, an array of nighttime activities will be held across the city.

From Aug 10 to 16 from 19:00 to 22:00, the Jianghai Museum will host handicraft workshops and lectures for primary and secondary school students, including lessons on painting on white porcelain plates, colorful clay, fine arts, and ship models.

Meanwhile, the district's cultural museum will arrange nighttime training sessions and cultural performances, while the fine arts museum will hold painting and calligraphy exhibitions.

Night markets selling creative cultural products and local specialties, cultural performances, and an open-air theater will be available at Jianghai Cultural Park.

From Aug 20 to 23 from 19:00 to 21:30, the Zhang Jian Cultural Tourist Site will hold a creative bazaar at the cultural square. It will offer rice wine tasting, carving and pottery workshops, and more.

In addition, traditional musical performances, fashion shows, blind dates, and pet shows will be held on Zhuangyuan Street in the resort.

From Aug 24 to 28 from 18:00 to 20:00, handicrafts activities such as making necklaces, rings, and scented candles, as well as open-air concerts, will be held in Tianlai village.
