Chongchuan acts to spur jobs and startups
Zhongxiu sub-district in Chongchuan district, Nantong, has adopted a variety of effective measures this year to promote employment and entrepreneurship, helping citizens to fully enjoy the benefits of relevant policies.
As the coronavirus epidemic situation improved, Zhongxiu sub-district assisted enterprises with recruitment, organized a job fair offering 215 posts and invited experts to provide advice on job and startup policies, skills training and labor laws, attracting more than 100 counselees.
A new mode of skills training has been launched, including online and offline training, and the first offline Western pastry training class opened recently with 48 participants.
Subsidy policies have been implemented flexibly with great efforts as 42 people were granted initial entrepreneurship subsidies with an amount of 202,000 yuan ($28,894), and 41 with individual startup subsidies of 410,000 yuan in the first two quarters.
Support was also given to entrepreneurship and innovation as 226 people started businesses and three projects run by university student were recommended to participate in a national innovation competition.
Considering the actual situation of the agricultural sub-district, 27 posts were developed including cleaning, home-based care and so on, resolving difficulties for the unemployed and offering them subsidies in public welfare posts and social security.
