The result of the 2020 selections for Jiangsu's most beautiful bookstores was announced on July 9. Tangzha Shangshuyuan Bookstore in Gangzha district, Nantong, was named among the 10 most beautiful stores.

The selection activity is sponsored by Jiangsu press and publication bureau and undertaken by Jiangsu publication distribution industry association. The 10 most beautiful bookstores selected each year are model physical bookstores.

Built in 2017, Shangshuyuan Bookstore is a new cultural landmark and tourist destination in Tangzha ancient town. It consists of a dreamy complex for reading, drinking tea or coffee, making handicrafts, and buying cultural products. People can also participate in free lectures, dialogues, and other cultural events in the bookstore.

In addition, the bookstore launched many charity projects, such as "drifting books" that people can take books they no longer need to Shangshuyuan and exchange them for others, to maximize the use of resources.
