Tongzhou controls dust pollution through technology
Tongzhou district, Nantong is expected to combine an intelligent management platform with a smart construction site in an effort to better manage dust pollution.
According to a worker at the construction site, construction will officially start around mid-July, while the intelligent equipment was installed on June 10.
The dust monitor will automatically spray water to reduce dust in the air when PM 2.5 levels are too high. Waste water will be collected through underground pipes and be recycled.
Zhang Xiaocheng, manager of the project, said that to achieve the goal of creating a provincial-level intelligent construction site, several high-tech measures have been adopted to ensure that management is high-quality, ecofriendly, and technologically efficient.
Vehicles are equipped with a guided system and cameras that can connect with local intelligent management platforms, and all transportation processes can be monitored. The system will automatically offer a warning when illegal behavior occurs.
The intelligent platform can also carry out qualification approvals, vehicle monitoring, management of illegal information, assessment, comprehensive analysis, and mobile law enforcement.
The platform entered its test run at the end of June and improved efficiency, said Zhou Jianqing, director of Tongzhou district's bureau of urban management.
