Chongchuan district, Nantong, Jiangsu province welcomed a delegation from Foping county, Hanzhong, Shaanxi province on June 22. The two parties discussed new ways to promote cooperation in poverty alleviation.

According to Liu Hao, secretary of Chongchuan district's Party committee, Chongchuan and Foping have developed close cooperative relations and have made significant achievements in industrial development, talent exchange, and more in recent years.

In 2019, the district provided 1.44 million yuan ($203,770) for poverty relief efforts in Foping, and three related projects costing 1.5 million yuan were implemented.

Both sides are expected to expand cooperation in a variety of fields, explore new ways to strengthen industrial competitiveness, share experiences in environmental protection and ecofriendly development, and increase contact between officials from the two places.

Li Fang, Party secretary of Foping county, thanked Chongchuan district for helping Foping eliminate poverty, as the district has offered strong support in education, medical treatment, employment, and talent cultivation.

Li also expressed hope that the two sides would achieve new breakthroughs in economic cooperation, take better advantage of local human resources and bolster economic development by making use of natural resources.

That day, the Foping delegation visited JD Cloud, the cloud unit of China's second-largest e-commerce site JD.com, several schools, the International Youth Innopark, and the night market on Holland Street in Chongchuan district.
