A delegation led by Huang Weifeng, secretary of Gangzha district's Party committee, visited Ningqiang county in Hanzhong, Shaanxi province from June 10 to 12 in order to promote closer cooperation in alleviating poverty and higher-level collaborative development.

During a conference held in Ningqiang county on June 11, Huang stated that a total 164 million yuan ($23.17 million) has been invested to boost cooperation in poverty alleviation since 2017, and nearly 10,000 residents have increased their incomes. 

Since the beginning of 2020, the two places have reached 18 agreements among towns, villages and enterprises. The sales of agricultural products from Ningqiang have exceeded 3 million yuan in Gangzha stores.

Chen Jianbin, Party secretary of Ningqiang county, expressed a warm welcome to the Gangzha delegation and sincere gratitude for the district's support and help in lifting the county out of poverty.

Chen said that although Ningqiang has escaped poverty, it still has a long way to go before it achieves high-quality development, and the two sides are expected to strengthen collaboration in more fields such as social undertakings and rural revitalization.

Gangzha district donated 500,000 yuan to support Ningqiang's development, and several cooperation agreements were signed at the conference.

The delegation then paid a visit to low-income residents in the county, a tea plantation, and an industrial project being developed by the two sides.
