The 2020 China Haimen Trade and Investment Fair kicked off in Haimen, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on May 28.

Nearly 500 government officials from Shanghai, Yunnan, Shaanxi, and Jiangsu, as well as business leaders such as Zhou Bing, president of Konka Group, and Dong Caiping, chairman of Zhongtian Steel Group, took part in the event to discuss cooperation.

He expressed hope that investors have full confidence in Haimen's development potential and contribute to the building of a high-end and environmentally friendly port industrial center in the city.

Chen Yong, Party secretary of Haimen, addressed the opening ceremony, saying that the fair, which has been held annually for the past 24 years, is a key platform for showcasing the city's high-quality development, strengthening partnerships, and expanding economic cooperation.

A promotional investment conference between Haimen and Ruili, Yunnan province was also held in the afternoon, with projects involving real estate, traditional Chinese medicine, and the production and sale of fruit being signed.
