A film museum in Rugao recently became the first museum in Nantong to be covered by the 5G network, according to the Nantong branch of China Mobile.
As the first private film museum in China, the venue boasts an impressive collection spanning more than 200,000 films, projectors, printing and restoration equipment, stills, posters and scripts from around the world.
To provide a different viewing experience, a number of panoramic cameras powered by the 5G network were installed in the museum, allowing visitors to view the collection through Virtual Reality (VR) technology.
"I can get a clear picture of the entire collection just by wearing VR glasses," said a visitor surnamed Liu.
According to an employee of the museum, technology will help provide a better experience for visitors and make the museum more attractive.
