A conference to promote the investment environment of Qidong, Nantong, Jiangsu province was held in Shenzhen, Guangdong province on May 20, with the Shenzhen-Qidong chamber of commerce being established the very same day.

Wang Xiaobin, secretary of Qidong's Party committee, said that a number of people from Qidong have achieved good results in Shenzhen, in fields including electronic information, artificial intelligence, finance, and more. They have made positive contributions to the development of Shenzhen, as well as to the economic and trade cooperation between the two areas.

In recent years, Qidong has been promoting its integration into Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region. Learning from the successful experience of Shenzhen, it is boosting high-quality development based on the Belt and Road Initiative, the Yangtze River Economic Zone, and the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region.

The Shenzhen-Qidong chamber of commerce is expected to help promote Qidong in Shenzhen, offer convenient services to Qidong enterprises there, and facilitate exchanges between the two sides.

"I have been doing my businesses in Shenzhen for years and have witnessed the flourishing development in both Shenzhen and Qidong," said Chen Long, chairman of Forlong Holding Group (Shenzhen) Co, who was elected as the first chairman of the chamber of commerce.

Chen added that he will encourage all the members of the chamber of commerce to follow regulations and drive better development of the two cities.
