A seminar was held in Qidong, a county-level city in Nantong, Jiangsu province, on May 12, to promote the integration of industry and education. 

Cooperation was also strengthened among Qidong Secondary Vocational School, Qidong's bureau of human resources and social security, and the Qidong High-tech Zone.

During the seminar, representatives from eight enterprises in the Qidong High-tech Zone gave a brief report on industrial development and the current labor shortage, and officials at the bureau of human resources and social security promoted the newly issued supporting policies for talent.

Qidong Secondary Vocational School introduced its majors, students, and employment situation, and emphasized that the school can cooperate with enterprises in employment recommendations, dual cultivation, and employee training.

Liugong Construction Machinery (Jiangsu) Co and Qidong Secondary Vocational School have been cooperating for years, and they are expected to further promote cooperation in dual cultivation and develop a new apprenticeship system.

After the seminar, participants visited GT Air. Dong Hanfei, executive deputy manager of the company, discussed the achievements of the company in the remote intelligent control of special air conditioners. The company reached a preliminary cooperation agreement with Qidong Secondary Vocational School.
