Jiuhua town in Rugao, a county-level city in Nantong, is planning to develop a headquarters economy to diversify the town's industrial structure and boost high-quality growth.
"The town boasts significant geological advantages, with the Shanghai-Nantong Yangtze River Bridge to the east and the Rugao-Zhangjiagang Bridge to the west," said Song Jigao, chairman of a Shanghai-based television cultural center.
Song decided to set up the company's culture and tourism headquarters in Jiuhua after visiting the town last year. The new headquarters are currently undergoing administrative procedures.
Impressed by the town's strong business environment, Song filmed an advertisement for Jiuhua free of charge and has also introduced a number of projects to the town.
So far, more than 10 companies have established headquarters in Jiuhua, playing an important role in accelerating local industrial development and the formation of industrial clusters.
The local government also built a headquarters economy service center, which officially started operating in January.
The center was designed to offer comprehensive services for investors, involving administrative, legal, and financial affairs, as well as up-to-date presentations of local business information, policies, and the investment environment.
The town has also worked with a third-party investment attraction company to promote its industrial resources to the outside world.
