A special job fair for workers from Qujing, Southwest China's Yunnan province was held in Rugao, a county-level city in Nantong, on Feb 29, to relieve the local labor shortage and improve employment in Qujing.

A total of 50 local companies took part in the fair, offering 2,000 jobs.

The event took place at the badminton court of the city’s Olympic sports center. An area of nearly 6,000 square meters allowed participants to keep an appropriate distance from others.

No more than 100 job seekers were allowed into the venue at once, while the others waited at a basketball court, which is capable of holding 4,000 people. Everyone had their temperature taken before entering the center.

According to the organizer, 226 out of 650 job seekers received employment at the event.
