CCPIT authentication center opens in Gangzha

The authentication center of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Nantong Committee was moved to Gangzha district, Nantong, Jiangsu province on Dec 27. The move was meant to make things more convenient for local foreign trade enterprises.
The authentication center handles certificates of origin, certificates of re-export, consular authentication, and other affairs, under the authorization of CCPIT.
The service hall features five business windows, a self-service area, and two integrated authentication machines. Rest areas are also available to ensure a comfortable experience while waiting.
The new service hall offers a better environment and more efficient services, according to many people that have received services there.
Since 2010, the CCPIT Nantong Committee has issued 27,000 certificates of origin under the free trade agreement (FTA), with exports valued at $1.2 billion and customs duties for Nantong enterprises reduced by nearly 300 million yuan ($42.97 million).
The CCPIT Nantong Committee is expected to issue over 37,000 different types of certificates and help reduce local customs duties by more than 100 million yuan.
The committee has also cooperated with Nantong Customs to issue certificates of origin, share enterprise credit records, and spread FTA policies.
