A promotional activity for Nantong's cultural and tourism attractions was held on Dec 13 in Singapore.
The event was hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Jiangsu Association (Singapore), and the China Cultural Center.
More than 30 wives of military officers from a number of countries took part in the event to learn about the coastal city of Nantong in East China.
The activity consisted of exhibitions showcasing photos of Nantong scenery and intangible cultural heritage items, displays of cultural and tourism products, and real artists offering live demonstrations.
People also tried their hands at paper cutting and writing Chinese characters with brushes.
According to organizers, China and Singapore are mutually popular tourist destinations, and the promotional activity was meant to attract more Singaporeans to Nantong.
