Gangzha cooperates with Shanghai on connected vehicles
The World Conference on Connected Vehicles was held in Shanghai from Dec 4 to 5, thanks to the joint efforts of Gangzha district in Nantong, Jiangsu province, Shanghai Shibei High-tech Group and Gasgoo, an automotive portal.
Representatives from more than 180 enterprises were invited to discuss innovative technologies and development trends on connected vehicles. The conference covered 21 themed speeches and one roundtable forum.

Huang Weifeng, secretary of Gangzha district's Party committee, said that the district has been focusing on electronic information, intelligent equipment, and cultural tourism in recent years, and is creating a cluster of intelligent transport systems.
Intelligent transport systems and automatic drive are prioritized in the Yangtze River Delta Region, according to a plan issued recently. Connected vehicles have become a significant part of people's intelligent life.
Huang expressed the hope that more enterprises can invest in Gangzha and more talents can start businesses there, as the district is equipped with solid industrial foundations due to help from a large industrial cluster of automotive electronic companies.
The Shibei High-tech Park, located in Gangzha, was established by the district and Jing'an district in Shanghai. It has attracted nearly 200 enterprises related to intelligent drive, big data, and cloud computing.
