A mobile photography competition recently concluded at the Yuantuojiao scenic spot in Qidong, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province. 

The competition was launched in Oct and aimed to promote tourism in the city. Organizers have since received nearly 1,000 amateur photos featuring local scenery.

After evaluation by a panel of professionals, one photo received a first-place prize, three received second-place prizes, and six received third-place prizes.

Yuantuojiao, which faces Shanghai from across the Yangtze River, sits at the easternmost end of Jiangsu province. It has the earliest sunrise in all of Jiangsu, with the sun beginning to rise at five o'clock.
